USANA’s new PaceSetter programme was unveiled at the 2010 International Convention, and now is your chance to qualify for “annual” PaceSetter or Platinum PaceSetter status! From August 28 to 2pm (GMT-8), October 23, 2010, you have the opportunity to increase your Matching Bonus payout percentage by qualifying as a PaceSetter or Platinum PaceSetter. You will then enjoy your updated status until your next enrolment anniversary, at which point you’ll have eight weeks to requalify for “annual” status for the following year. A Year of Benefits If you didn’t qualify as a PaceSetter when you first joined USANA, you can still earn the same Matching Bonus payout percentage by qualifying as an “annual” PaceSetter or Platinum PaceSetter. A Premier PaceSetter and an "annual" PaceSetter both earn the same Matching Bonus payout—50 percent—but one qualifies for a lifetime of benefits, while the other has to qualify or requalify annually.
Your status: You receive:
Premier Platinum or Platinum PaceSetter100% match of your new Premier Platinum PaceSetter’s earnings
Premier PaceSetter or PaceSetter50% match of your new Premier Platinum PaceSetter’s earnings
Distributor25% match of your new Premier Platinum PaceSetter’s earnings
How to Qualify You will have the eight weeks between August 28 and 2pm (GMT-8), October 23, 2010, to improve your PaceSetter status and your Matching Bonus payout percentage using the following guidelines:
Become a PaceSetter when, within the eight-week period, you personally sponsor two or more new Distributors who activate 1 or 3 Business Centres and collectively generate 800 Sales Volume Points (SVP).
Become a Platinum PaceSetter when, within the eight-week period, you personally sponsor four or more new Distributors who activate 1 or 3 Business Centres and collectively generate 1,600 SVP.
Premier PaceSetters can use this eight-week period to qualify as annual Platinum PaceSetters and improve their Matching Bonus payout.
As a Premier PaceSetter, you will qualify as an annual Platinum PaceSetter when, within the eight-week period, you personally sponsor two or more new Distributors who activate 1 or 3 Business Centres and collectively generate 800 SVP.
Find out more on PaceSetter Programme Frequently Asked Questions

1) Q. What if I became a Distributor just before Convention and was still working on finalising my PaceSetter or Platinum PaceSetter status when the changes were announced?
A. You must finalise under the rules of the old PaceSetter programme. After you have reached the end of your original qualification time you will be eligible to participate in the Convention qualification opportunity.

2) Q. What if my enrolment anniversary is in December? If I qualify for “annual” PaceSetter/Platinum PaceSetter now, will I have to requalify again in December?
A. Yes. Starting on the anniversary of your enrolment date, you will have eight weeks to requalify.

3) Q. If I am neither a PaceSetter nor a Platinum PaceSetter, can I qualify as an annual PaceSetter or Platinum PaceSetter?
A. Yes.

4) Q. What if I am a Premier Platinum PaceSetter? Do I need to requalify?
A. No. As a Premier Platinum PaceSetter, you will be eligible to receive a 100-percent Matching Bonus match throughout your entire USANA career.

5) Q. What if I was a Platinum PaceSetter before Convention? Do I need to requalify?
A. No. If you had already qualified as a Platinum PaceSetter you are now a Premier Platinum PaceSetter. If you were already qualified as a PaceSetter before Convention, you are now a Premier PaceSetter.

6) Q. How often will I have to requalify to earn the maximum Matching Bonus payout percentage?
A. You will have the eight-week period between August 28 and 2pm (GMT-8), October 23, 2010. After that, you will have to requalify during the eight-week period following your enrolment anniversary each year.

7) Q. If my fourth new Distributor enrols at the end of the eight-week qualification period, but all four don’t collectively generate 1,600 SVP before October 23, will I still be a Platinum PaceSetter?
A. No. You will have to meet the standards listed above in the eight-week period. All enrolments and SVP generated must occur during that eight-week period ending at 2pm (GMT-8), October 23, 2010.

8) Q. As a Premier PaceSetter, if I fail to qualify for an increase to annual Platinum PaceSetter status during the post-Convention requalification period, what will my Matching Bonus percentage be?

9) Q. If I don’t take advantage of the post-Convention requalification period now, will I ever have a chance to qualify as an annual PaceSetter or Platinum PaceSetter?
A. Yes. Regardless of whether or not you take advantage of USANA’s post-Convention requalification period, you will still have eight weeks to qualify for annual PaceSetter/Platinum PaceSetter status each year beginning at the anniversary of your enrolment date.

10) Q. Will any SVP generated by my new Distributors AFTER October 23 count toward my annual PaceSetter/Platinum PaceSetter status during this requalification period?
A. No. Any SVP generated after 2pm (GMT-8), October 23, 2010 will not count for the post-Convention requalification period.
Example: If four of your personally sponsored Distributors collectively generate only 1,400 SVP before 2pm (GMT-8), October 23, 2010, but they generate an extra 300 over the next two days to bring the total to 1,700, you will still qualify as a PaceSetter, not a Platinum PaceSetter.

Improved PaceSetter Programme Leads to a Lifetime of Benefits

With two words, an announcement at USANA’s 2008 International Convention forever altered the path to financial freedom—Matching Bonus. Since that fateful late August day, Distributors have hopped in the fast lane to success and taken advantage of the opportunity to end up with the income they’ve always dreamed of. Fast forward to now.
USANA is improving the PaceSetter Programme and expanding your opportunities to cash in with Matching Bonus. Think of it like this: the road to financial freedom just added a few more express lanes to success.
Introducing Premier Status This expanded opportunity starts with the creation of a new classification of PaceSetters—Premier. And it’s just as exciting as the name suggests. Premier PaceSetters and Premier Platinum PaceSetters will now enjoy a lifetime of benefits and Matching Bonus eligibility. If you’re already a PaceSetter or Platinum PaceSetter, there’s no need to re-qualify—you just have to add “Premier” to your status.
You also keep your passport to financial success with Matching Bonus, and will continue to earn a percentage of what your new Premier Platinum PaceSetters earn for half a year. New Distributors will have a full eight weeks—instead of six—to qualify as either Premier PaceSetters or Premier Platinum PaceSetters. Annual Requalification Opportunity While the old PaceSetter Programme ended there, USANA has opened the door to a new opportunity for those who miss the initial eight-week period.
An Distributor has his/her second eight weeks after enrollment to qualify as PaceSetters and Platinum PaceSetters on an annual basis. You will still be able to take full advantage of USANA’s Matching Bonus and will have a chance every year, on the anniversary of your enrollment, to qualify as a PaceSetter or Platinum PaceSetter for one year.
These improvements add more time to the qualification period, and provide an expanded opportunity with a second chance to maximize your Matching Bonus earnings. The requirements for qualification have also been simplified. Qualifying as a Premier PaceSetter You achieve Premier PaceSetter status when you personally sponsor two or more new Distributors, who activate at least 1 Business Centre and collectively generate 800 Sales Volume Points (SVP), during your first eight weeks.
Qualifying as a Premier Platinum PaceSetter You achieve Premier Platinum PaceSetter status when you personally sponsor four or more new Distributors, who activate at least 1 Business Centre and collectively generate 1,600 SVP, during your first eight weeks. And those who don’t qualify in the first eight weeks then have an additional eight-week period to accumulate the number of Distributors and SVP—two or more and 800 for PaceSetter; four or more and 1,600 for Platinum— to lock in their PaceSetter status for one year.
Each year, starting on the anniversary of an Distributor’s enrollment, he/she will have eight weeks to qualify or re-qualify using the standards above. Every year, starting on an Distributor’s enrollment date, Premier PaceSetters will also have eight weeks to advance to Platinum PaceSetter status for one year and become eligible to receive 100% Matching Bonus. So each year there’s an opportunity to give yourself a yearlong raise by upping your Matching Bonus. And that’s what it’s all about—the potential for explosive income. Remember, you’ll have the chance to earn Matching Bonus for 26 weeks on the commissions of Distributors you enroll who become Premier Platinum PaceSetters. If you’re a Platinum PaceSetter, that number is still 100 percent, with PaceSetters earning a 50 percent match, and those who are Distributors earning a 25 percent match.
Activating Business Centres USANA is also making it easier for new Distributors to maximize their earning potential by starting with three Business Centres. It now takes just 400 SVP activate three Business Centres—down from 450. It will also take 200 SVP to activate one Business Centre. That means by choosing to activate three Business Centres, they’ll be getting one for free! The new express lanes to success are open on the road to financial freedom, so start taking advantage of the expanded opportunities available with USANA’s PaceSetter Programme and Matching Bonus!

USANA 2010 Convention: Breaking Through Takes on New Meaning

USANA 2010 Convention: Breaking Through Takes on New Meaning

The first general session of the 2010 USANA International Convention hit with the force of a wrecking ball — literally.

After taking a few sledgehammer swings at the wall of fear and doubt blocking the EnergySolutions Arena stage, USANA CEODave Wentz — joined in the effort by USANA Founder Dr. Myron Wentz — called in the heavy artillery. With the help of a crowd of stomping, clapping Associates, Dave and Dr. Wentz sent a USANA wrecking ball through the wall, wasting no time living up to theme of breaking through.

When the dust cleared, USANA favoriteDavid Osmond belted out this year’s Convention theme song.

“Breaking through the chains that bind you,” he sang. “Breaking through to a life that’s brand new.”

Last year’s Distributor of the Year, 9-Star Diamond Director Jeremy Stansfield picked up the theme and kept the crowd pumped.

“You’re definitely at the right place, at the right time,” he said. “Strap on your seat belt, you’re in for the ride of your life.”

Stansfield is no stranger to the Convention stage, but it was a first for the next visitor.

Fourteen-month-old Andrew Wentz looked like an old pro in his suit as he strode onto the stage with is dad.

“I just wanted to make sure Andrew got to see his family,” Dave Wentz said, picking up his son.

USANA’s CEO went on to read stories from Associates around the world about moments when they broke through with USANA.

“You have to grow in order for your business to grow,” he said, later. “You have to reach high to fail, because if you don’t fail, you aren’t trying hard enough.”

After an introduction from 2009 Vision Award winner Patti Roney, a third Wentz took the stage and was greeted with two standing ovations from the near-capacity crowd. USANA’s founder talked about the breakthroughs happening in vitamin D research.

“My cells are solar powered,” Dr. Wentz said. He later popped one of USANA’s vitamin D supplements in his mouth after describing all the things vitamin D does for our bodies. “All-in-all, not a bad day’s work,” he quipped.

Denis Waitley talked about someone who broke through a different barrier — Chuck Yeager, the first pilot to break the sound barrier.

“I felt like I was breaking through all my fears,” Waitley said, channeling Yeager. “You don’t concentrate on the risk, you concentrate on the results.”

USANA President Fred Cooper finished off the morning session by introduced changes to the PaceSetter and Matching Bonus Program that will allow Associates to break through to another level of Matching Bonus earnings, expanding the qualification period from six to eight weeks. Afternoon of Delight

If the morning session swung in on wrecking ball, the afternoon session rushed in on a wave of laughter. The first spoof video delighted the crowd with Dr. Wentz starring in a commercial as The Most Interesting Microbiologist in the World.

“He fights free radicals to the death — and he always wins,” was one of the many lines that had the crowd in stitches.

It wasn’t all laughs, though. Thursday’s keynote speaker, Linda Armstrong Kelly — the mother of Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong — talked about how she made it from a 17-year-old single mother to the USANA Convention stage.

“You have to advocate what you believe in,” she said.

Her 30 minutes were spent telling stories about growing up with her son, and the nuggets of wisdom she’s gathered in her life’s journey.

“There is no mountain high enough,” she said. “It’s all about the journey.”

“Dream big. Don’t let anybody tell you, you can’t do it.”

Armstrong wasn’t the only recognizable name on Thursday afternoon.

E! News Correspondent Ashlan Gorsegraced the stage to talk Sensé with Emerald Director Leanne Grechulk.

“It’s making me prettier, so thank you,” an-already-pretty-in-pink Gorse said with a laugh.

After admitting the cleansing gel and bath wash were two of her favorites, Gorse announced the new Sensé trial packs that came floating to the arena floor under USANA parachutes.

Not to be outdone, Executive Vice President of Research and Development Dr. Tim Woodannounced a breakthrough in the way USANA’s high-quality nutritional supplements are made.

Cutting-edge Nutritional Hybrid Technology will now allow USANA to create dual formula products that weren’t possible before. This will allow Associates to take fewer pills. Two of new hybrid pills — Proflavanol®C200 and Hepasil DTX — will now be available inMyHealthPak.

Wood also announced improvements to Fibergy, and introduced an excited crowd to USANA’sDigestive Enzyme — a new product in the detox line. Check out USANAtoday for more information on the new products.

With all the awesome product announcements, excited Associates brought their energy across the street from the ESA to the Salt Palace. The Store was jam-packed with Associates scooping up all the new products and lining up to pose with Gorse for a picture in the Sensésection.

It was a high-energy end to an amazing day. Stay tuned tomorrow for more breakthroughs and exciting announcements from USANA’s 2010 International Convention.
